Forgiven and Set Free

6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Forgiven and Set Free is a Christ-centered, confidential and supportive study for women to find hope, healing and peace from past abortion. Author Linda Cochrane says, "No matter what drives a woman to end a pregnancy, there are physical, psychological and spiritual side effects most don't anticipate. Feelings of guilt, shame and grief become a heavy burden and many women feel they will never be free, that no one understands, that God will never forgive them." Trained facilitators who have also felt the secret pain of past abortion lead participants to find help with issues such as denial, anger, forgiveness, depression and more through God's word. Past participants have this to say about the study: "Forgiven and Set Free was a life changer for me." "...a real blessing to all the hidden, hurting post abortive ladies out there." "It may have taken me 30 years, but I know God's forgiveness now." To learn more, contact forgivenandsetfree@bethelfc.com All inquiries are confidential.

Soul Shop-Fargo/Moorhead Area

8:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Suicide reaches into people's lives in multiple ways: through the death or suicide attempt of a loved one, through their own former or current suicidal thinking, or through worries about others going through hard times. At this moment, 1 out of 2 people in most congregations are personally impacted by the reality of suicide. Many congregations experience deaths to suicide among their own members, skyrocketing the impact to 100% of the congregation. We are seeking to equip congregations and organizations in responding to suicidal desperation. With them, we hope to catalyze regional networks that create soul safe communities. Sponsors are Sanford Health, Essentia Health Prairie St John's the Veteran's Administration and Dakota Medical Foundation. Soul Shop is for pastors, priests, youth directors, educators, counselors, therapists, faith community nurses, any ministry leader. Soul Shop is for lay leaders as well. It's not just for clergy. It's for anyone who feels CALLED to respond to suicidal desperation. Michelle Snyder, Soul Shop Director, joined the Soul Shop team in 2014 and will be leading this workshop. Michelle has dual training in mental health (Masters in Social Work, Licensed Clinical Social Worker) and theology (Masters in Divinity).
