It seems like Coronavirus is all we hear about on the news these days. Unfortunately, this seems to be leading to one of two reactions – either panic or denial. Neither of these extremes is helpful. Vigilance armed with facts is the appropriate response. The best place to learn the facts about this virus and how best to protect ourselves is the CDC website.

The bad news is that Coronavirus has been responsible for nearly 4,000 deaths worldwide over the past month or so.  However, the good news is that the vast majority of people with Coronavirus do recover. What’s the best plan for avoiding illness? Wash your hands frequently, cover your coughs and sneezes, stay home if you feel ill, and call your primary care physician if you have concerns of exposure. Furthermore, let’s all commit ourselves to praying that this virus is brought under control soon.

In the midst of this, it’s more important than ever that Life 97.9 continues to be uplifting! God is still in control and that’s the ultimate antidote to panic. “God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” (II Timothy 1:7) With our eyes on our heavenly Father, we can stay both vigilant and anxiety-free.

We need your help to continue to be the uplifting resource that so many in our community depend on. Right now, your contribution will help bring hope and encouragement to our friends and neighbors here in the Valley. Click this link to make your gift to Life 97.9 today.

Thank you!

Yours in Christ,
