What are you thankful for? Because our Thanksgiving holiday falls in November, it seems appropriate to count our blessings this month. For myself, I am grateful to God for my loving wife and family, my church, and my place of employment. I’m sure you have a similar list of things you’re thankful for.

Gratitude can (and should) be a way of life. It helps to drive out pride and fosters humility. When we realize how much we’ve been given, it keeps us from thinking too highly of ourselves or focusing inwardly on our own needs. A spirit of gratitude is always looking to give back in response to the blessings given to us.

So, let me say how thankful I am for you! Everyone who listens to Life 97.9 is a blessing to us and we pray for you often. Everything we do is focused on meeting the needs of our listening family. We also deeply appreciate those who give financially to keep this ministry on the air. We couldn’t stay on the air without you, so thank you!

It’s our hope and prayer that during this holiday season, you’ll take time to focus on God’s blessings and cultivate a spirit of gratitude that will stay with you all year long. Happy Thanksgiving!

Yours in Christ,

Doug Smith
