You may have heard some new voices on the air lately! For the past 3 weeks, Uplifting Mornings on Life 97.9 has been hosted by Dave Conour and Candice Grey. We’re so glad we could bring these two wonderful and experienced radio hosts to Life 97.9! I hope you’re already enjoying their uplifting ministry every morning.

Also, you may have noticed that they encourage listeners to call in during the show and share what’s on their heart. They want to hear from YOU! You can call in anytime, and if you get the voicemail, just leave your comments, along with your name and phone number. In many cases, they’ll be able to call you back so you can join in on the conversation.

Our Chief Engineer, Greg Schmitke, was the interim host of Uplifting Mornings for the past few months and we all owe him a big thank-you for filling in so capably. In addition to his regular engineering duties, he volunteered to host this important show. We deeply appreciate it.

Another new voice this week is our Program Director, Jarrett Stevens. He has been in radio for nearly 20 years and comes to us from Jamestown, ND. Jarrett has a background in both Christian and mainstream radio, and we’re looking forward to benefiting from his wide experience. The job of Program Director is often behind the scenes, but the impact is felt across the entire station. Programming decisions affect everything from the music you hear, to the topics the rest of the on-air staff talk about on a daily basis.

In addition, Jarrett is now the new host of Afternoon Drive on Life 97.9. A big thank-you goes out to Paul Perrault who hosted Afternoon Drive on an interim basis for the past couple of months. He did a great job. As Jarrett takes over, I hope you’ll come to appreciate his encouraging comments on your way home every day.

Please remember to pray for these staff members as they get used to their new responsibilities. Everything we do here is in partnership with you to reach all of the Red River Valley with the message of God’s unconditional love. Thanks!

Yours in Christ,

Doug Smith
Station Manager
