Reduce Your Breast Cancer Risk For Around $1.50 Per Day!

In the previous article we looked at some of the alarming facts about breast cancer despite all of the “awareness” surrounding the disease.  One thing we know without a doubt is that the best way to beat cancer is to not get it.  That statement is so blatantly obvious that we lose the significance contained within.

But, what if there was a simple way to protect yourself and those you love by dramatically reducing the risk of ever developing breast cancer in the first place?  And, what if it was so simple to do that I told you it takes less than one-minute per day?

It’s All In Your Genes…Or Is It?

The notion that has been propagated in all of healthcare is that “if it’s in your genes, then you’re gonna get it”.  While there is a little truth to some of that, science actually tells us a different story.

Have you ever heard news reports about thousands of fish mysteriously dying in a river or a lake somewhere?  Or all of a sudden hundreds of birds mysteriously showing up dead in an area?

Most everyone has.

When that happens, do scientists frantically search for the problem in the DNA of the fish or birds to determine what flaw in their genes caused them to die?  Of course not.  The first question asked isn’t about the genes of the animals, but about the environment.  In other words, the genes didn’t change, the environment did.

So, why is it that when humans die we forget to look at the environment first and instead blame our genetics?

The truth is…environment plays a much larger role in chronic diseases and death than any other factor.  And THAT is scientific fact!

Now just to be clear, when I say ENVIRONMENT I am not talking about the climate.  Although an argument could be made for the cold of winter taking the will to live out of us on some days.  Environment refers to the space you live in and anything that your body has to adapt to.  This includes everything from what you eat or don’t eat, your work environment, your relationships, if and how you exercise and even the thoughts that you choose to focus on.

Believe it or not, but environment can actually change the activity of your genes!  In this article we will cover two EXTREMELY powerful environmental factors that have a dramatic impact on breast cancer.

I have yet to meet anyone that does NOT know exercise, eating healthy and avoiding alcohol and tobacco are good ideas.  These are environmental factors that have been proven to have a dramatic influence on breast cancer and overall cancer rates.

What is not well known is that adding two simple nutritional supplements to your daily routine can have a significant impact on breast cancer as well.

Vitamin D

Did you know Vitamin D isn’t a vitamin at all?

It’s actually a hormone that helps to regulate over 2,770 genes!

Along with helping provide us with strong bones, Vitamin D is one of the most powerful immune system regulators that we know of. When our levels are high enough, Vitamin D has been shown to greatly reduce cancer. In fact, Vitamin D has been shown to decrease breast cancer risk by up to 6X’s and to reduce death from breast cancer by up to 85%!  While it is true that Vitamin D results from exposure to the sun, in northern climates like ours, we are only able to produce adequate amounts during 2 months out of the year.

The bottom line is, if you aren’t taking a Vitamin D supplement then you are deficient!

Fish Oil

Not all fish oils are created equally.  Neither is all omega-3 oil.  Make no mistake about it, if you aren’t consuming enough EPA & DHA, the active ingredients that makes fish oils so beneficial, then you are coming up short and you are deficient in both EPA & DHA.

Because walleye & sunnies don’t count and flax seed is NOT a suitable alternative!  Unless you consume deep sea cold water fish 5X’s a week, you are not getting proper levels of EPA & DHA.  Taking adequate levels of high quality omega-3 fish oil has been shown to reduce the risk of breast cancer by another 32%!

The bottom line here?  You guessed it, if you aren’t taking a quality fish-oil supplement with the proper levels and ratio of EPA/DHA then you are deficient!

In upcoming articles we will go into great depth on both vitamin D and fish oils but for now please take note of what many, many, MANY research articles have shown to be true about both vitamin D and fish oil…they are essential to maintaining health and longevity.

It’s your health, fight for it.
