The news was proclaimed to the shepherds, who were watching their flocks in the fields outside of Bethlehem.
“The Angel reassured the shepherds, ‘Don’t be afraid, I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people.
The Savior–yes, the Messiah, the Lord–has been born today in Bethlehem.” Luke 2:10-11 (NLT)
The shepherds quickly went to Bethlehem and worshipped the new born King!
“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. ” John 3:16 (NLT)
Yes, a King, God’s Son Jesus leaving Heaven in order to become our Savior.
Jesus grew in wisdom and in favor with God and all people (Luke 2:52)
Around 30 years of age, Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist and began his earthly ministry calling people to “Love God, and Love their neighbors as themselves”
His mission, which he fulfilled, was to go to The Cross, and die for our sins.
“For everyone has sinned; we fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet, God freely and graciously
declares that we are righteous. he did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins. For God
Presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life. God did this
to demonstrate his righteousness, for he is fair and just and he declares sinners (you and I) to be right in his sight when they believe
in Jesus.” (Romans 3:23-26)
