I surrender

Are you a control freak? Do you get in your own way sabotaging your success? It’s common, but it doesn’t have to be that way. One of the biggest blessings in my life is learning to surrender. I still have my moments, don’t get me wrong, but surrendering has offered me the most freedom in my life.

Mind: So what does surrendering look like in your mind? Does it mean that you give up? NO….to surrender means to cease resistance and to submit. Submit to being obedient and treating yourself and others as God would.

Body: Physically…you may need to surrender to the fact that your health is your true wealth. Without it…you can’t do your job to its fullest, be a spouse or parent to your fullest, care for others in your family or community to your fullest, and you certainly can’t fulfill your God-given purpose fully if you aren’t physically able. With that said…will you surrender today and give God praise and worship by taking care of you?

Spirit: Matthew 11:28 reads ” Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

What a wonderful promise that is…may you surrender this week..the things that are keeping you from complete freedom in Him.
